The school gets nearly $2.25 million immediately from the Southeastern Conference for travel expenses. However, the school says its expenses are nearly $3 million. UF is borrowing against the expected bowl revenue to pay for the rest of the trip. In June, the SEC will distribute another $2 million dollars to its member schools from the bowl revenue. The school is also expecting millions of dollars in merchandising royalties. The school does not expect to see any of that money though until the second financial quarter of 2007. .... | |
